  1. Acceptance: By placing an order with Paper Hugs Co., you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or accessing the store under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  2. Modifications: We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms at any time. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for updates.

2. Products & Specifications

  1. Handmade & Small-Batch Nature: Paper Hugs Co. operates on a hybrid production model comprising in-house assembly and small-batch regional manufacturing. Due to the boutique nature of our products (such as die-cut stickers, hand-padded notepads, art postcards, and planners):
    • Minor variations in paper grain, edge trims, color saturation, or sticker cutting margins may occur and are not considered defects.
    • Screen colors may vary slightly from actual printed physical goods depending on device displays.
  2. Paper Specifications: Product listings specify paper weight (e.g., 100 GSM, 120 GSM, or 300 GSM). Users are advised to review item descriptions for pen/ink compatibility.
  3. Availability: All items are subject to stock availability. We reserve the right to limit order quantities or discontinue any product without prior notice.

3. Pricing, GST, & Payments

  1. Pricing: All prices listed on our platform are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive or exclusive of taxes as specified at checkout.
  2. GST Compliance: Orders placed within India are subject to statutory Goods and Services Tax (GST) based on applicable HSN/SAC codes (e.g., Chapter 48 and Chapter 49 paper products, postcards, and adhesive goods).
  3. Payment Gateways: Payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (e.g., Razorpay, Instamojo, or Cashfree). By completing a transaction, you agree to abide by the respective payment processor’s terms. Paper Hugs Co. does not store your full card numbers or banking credentials.

4. Shipping, Fulfillment, & Delivery

  1. Coverage: We provide domestic shipping across India via trusted courier aggregators (e.g., Shiprocket, Delhivery).
  2. Processing Time: Orders are processed within 2–5 business days unless otherwise stated for pre-orders or custom product batches.
  3. Delivery Timelines: Estimated transit times range between 3–8 business days depending on the destination (Tier-1 cities vs. remote locations). Paper Hugs Co. is not liable for unexpected carrier delays once a parcel is handed over to the courier service.
  4. Incorrect Addresses: Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping details (including pincodes and phone numbers). Parcels returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses will incur additional re-shipping fees.

5. Cancellations, Returns, & Refunds

  1. Cancellations: Orders can only be canceled within 12 hours of purchase or before dispatch, whichever is earlier. Once shipped, orders cannot be canceled.
  2. Damage / Defect Policy:
  • If you receive a damaged or wrong item, you must notify us within 48 hours of package delivery via email or Instagram DM with an unboxing video clearly showing the unopened outer parcel and damaged contents.
  • Eligible damaged items will receive a replacement or store credit. Refunds are issued at management discretion.
  1. Non-Returnable Items: Due to hygiene, small-batch, and artistic considerations, sticker sheets, art prints, opened journals, and custom stationery kits are non-returnable unless received damaged.

6. Intellectual Property & Artwork

  1. Ownership: All original artwork, cover illustrations, postcard designs, logos, and site content created by Paper Hugs Co. are the exclusive intellectual property of Paper Hugs Co.
  2. Restrictions: You may not copy, reproduce, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any product, print, or design without prior explicit written permission from Paper Hugs Co.

7. Snail Mail Project & Community Guidelines

  1. Participation: Phase 2 includes community projects, penpal matching, or postal letter exchanges. Participation is optional and requires opt-in submission of contact details.
  2. Privacy & Respect: Participants in the Snail Mail network agree not to share, leak, or misuse another participant’s physical address or personal letters. Harassment, hate speech, or unsolicited commercial outreach through postal addresses is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination from the network.

8. Limitation of Liability

Paper Hugs Co. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products, courier delays, or inability to access the website.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
